Care Assistants

We are looking for Bank and Permanent Care Assistants to join our team at Viewlands House for day duty– 8am to 8pm or 8am to 2pm, or 2pm to 8pm. Various posts are available with both part time and full time hours.

We pride ourselves on the happy welcoming atmosphere of our home. Our aim is to ensure all our residents are happy and comfortable and can feel as independent, yet as supported, as possible.

As a Care Assistant, you will be part of the team maintaining high standards of care and service towards our residents, their relatives, visitors and other members of staff. You will be providing a range of personal and practical care to our residents.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To provide person centered care to 32 older people.
  • Complete documentation as required.
  • Dependable, able to work well under pressure and flexible to meet the needs of the residents and the Home.

Skills and Experience:

  • SVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care but not essential
  • Caring and sensitive to the needs of others
  • Able to communicate effectively
  • Able to provide emotional and social support
  • Committed to providing a high standard of care, promoting dignity and respect

Successful candidates will have a satisfactory PVG record, become a member of SSSC, have SVQ2 or above, or be willing to undertake SVQ 2 and will be required to provide two references.
